Your files stay yours.
This page describes the data handling of this release of Subtitle Studio.
Effective October 12, 2026
Local videos and subtitles
Videos you select are opened using an object URL created by your browser. We do not upload those videos. Subtitle files are read, parsed, edited and exported on your device. Imported text is not sent to a translation, transcription or AI service.
Drafts and browser storage
The editor uses IndexedDB to store one current project draft: subtitle text, timestamps, project name, preview settings and the video file name. Video content is not saved. This data stays in this browser profile and is not synchronized across devices. Clearing site data or using a private browsing session may remove it.
You can download a project backup from Export. To remove the draft, use New project → Clear saved draft, or clear this site’s storage in your browser settings. A cleared draft is not recoverable from our servers.
Site delivery
The published site is intended to be delivered through Cloudflare Pages. The hosting provider receives ordinary web request information, such as IP address, requested URL and browser headers, to deliver and protect the site. This is separate from your local file content. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for the provider’s handling of request data.
The bundled demo media, fonts and application code are served as site assets. The demo does not request access to your personal files.
Analytics, cookies and advertisements
This release contains no analytics scripts, advertising tags or application tracking cookies. Local draft storage is used for the editor’s operation. If advertising or analytics are introduced, this page and any required consent controls will be updated before they are enabled.
Contacting support
The Contact page prepares a downloadable report or opens your email app. It does not submit a form to a server. If you send an email, the address, message and any attachments you choose to include are received through the support mailbox’s email provider. Share only what is needed to explain the issue.
